8 Little Indians!

With it being November, we are starting to talk about Thanksgiving. We are also talking about the pilgrims and the Indians and today the kids made an Indian headband. They looked adorable and so I had to take a picture to share! Here are my 8 little Indians!

Halloween PARTY!!

Happy Halloween! Today was our Halloween party in pre-school and all the kids got to wear their costumes. I don't think I have seen so many princesses at one time. The costumes were super cute! We had a great time playing games, eating treats, and trick-or-treating each other.

Another October Birthday!

Fire Station Fieldtrip!

Field trip day!! I took the kids to the fire station since this month is fire safety month and we are talking about community helpers in pre-school. We had a great time and the firefighters were a lot of fun. The kids first got a tour of the fire station, then the firefighters talked to the pre-school kids about fire safety, and then the kids got a tour of the big fire engine. One of the mom's that came along also took a bunch of pictures for me- THANKS Candice!! Enjoy.

October Birthdays!

6 Little Lambs!

In the month of September we talked about and memorized several nursery rhymes. We made a nursery rhyme book and several art projects relating to different nursery rhymes. One particular art project we made lamb masks (for Mary had a Little Lamb). Here are my adorable little lambs.

September Birthday!

Ben turns 5!! In September, Ben had a birthday and got to be our "Star of the Day". Here he is with his "All About Me" poster, which he gets to share with the class to help us get to know him. He also gets to bring in special treats to share with everyone.

Starting a New Year!!

I have my first year behind me, and I am SO excited to start a new year!! This year is going to be GREAT! I have 8 students in my class- 7 girls, and 1 boy. Lots of pictures to follow, so keep checking back often!

Graduation!!

Little Learner's Pre-school Graduates
2009-2010

Graduation was on Tuesday and what fun we had!! The kids were FANTASTIC; I am so proud of them. We had a fabulous year. I am sad to see most of them go, but happy that a couple of them are returning for next year. I LOVE teaching and I couldn't have asked for a better first year.! THANK YOU parents for sharing your child with me. It was a privilege to watch them grow and progress.

Movie Time!

On our last day of Pre-school the kids got to watch a short movie. They sat on a blanket with their juice pouch, ate popcorn, and watched The Letter Factory. I can't believe pre-school is already over with!

Boise Zoo!

We took a field trip to the Boise Zoo and it was a success- NO RAIN!! It was a little chilly, but the kids didn't seem to notice. I think the highlight of the whole trip was the giraffe slide at the end. Thank you to those parents who helped out! Enjoy the pictures!!

Mighty Lions!

We have been talking about all sorts of animals this month. This week we are going to the Zoo and so we have been talking about zoo animals and the kids made a lion mask today. They were adorable; I had to take a picture to share!

Easter Fun!

Though late, we still celebrated Easter by making bunny masks and then going out back to find hidden eggs. What fun they had!!

St. Patrick's Day!

The 7 luckiest Leprechauns you will meet! Some little leprechaun found our pre-school room and turned things upside-down and left us some chocolate coins!

Library Time!

In March the pre-schoolers took a field trip to the library and joined a group for story time. After story time was over, the pre-schoolers got a little tour of the library and then they each got to find a book to check out. We came back and read each of the books in pre-school. Here are a couple of pictures of the kids during story time.

Trip to the Dentist!

In February the pre-schoolers got to go to Dr. Scholes's dental office. Dr. Scholes talked to the kids about what a dentist is, why it is important to keep your teeth clean, and how to brush and floss your teeth. The kids were great and they came away with lots of fun treasures!! THANKS Dr. Scholes and staff!!
