SHOPPING & CHRISTMAS PARTY!

The field trip this month was to the dollar store where the kids all got to pick out a present for someone in the class. We have talked a lot about the joy of giving and one of the very best parts of Christmas, is the presents you give away. It was so fun to see the kids shop and it didn't take them long to pick out a present. When we were done shopping we went back to preschool and the kids helped wrapped the gifts. When they were done wrapping they stuck the presents under the tree to be opened later. We watched the movie Frost the Snowman, ate snowman cookies, sang Christmas songs, and then we sat in a circle and watched each person open their gift. The kids were adorable... when it was their turn, they found their present under the tree and gave it to their "secret friend". As they gave the gift they said "Merry Christmas!" I don't know who was more excited the person getting the gift or the person watching them open their gift.  THANK YOU to the two moms who helped out the entire day, I could not have done it without you! AND thank you for taking pictures of the kids opening the presents!! I hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS ALLIE!

Miss Allie is turning 5 years old! We celebrated her birthday in preschool today and she shared with us her "All About Me" poster, and she also brought in some yummy cupcakes! Allie is a very sweet girl and I am so happy that she is in our preschool class!!

 

8 LITTLE PILGRIMS

 This month we are talking a lot about the Pilgrims and the Indians. Today in preschool we made Indian headbands. The kids were so creative on their headbands; love them!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Today the kids came to preschool in their Halloween costumes, ready for a fun day of school! I love to see all the different costumes; the kids were adorable! We played Halloween Bingo, ate pumpkin cookies, and trick-or-treated each other. Halloween is always such a FUN holiday to celebrate! I hope everyone has a FUN and SAFE HALLOWEEN!

BLACK BATS!

The color of the day today in preschool was black! For our art project today the kids made black bats. It was so much fun to see how excited the kids were to color, cut, and put on their bat masks. They looked so cute, I had to take a picture to share!! 

TRIP TO THE FIRE STATION!

 

This month we took a field trip to the fire station! In preschool we have been talking about community helpers and since firefighters are community helpers we wanted to learn a little more about them. At the fire station we met 3 firefighters: the chief, the driver, and the one who puts out the fires. The firefighters took us around the fire station and showed us where they eat, sleep, exercise, relax, and study. Then we got to go check out the fire truck. Some of the kids chose to sit up in the driver's seat. Then firefighter Wes put on his fire gear to show the kids what firefighters look like. They do this so that the kids won't be afraid of them or try and hide from them in a fire. I think the kids had a great time; they were even given firefighter stickers when they got there!

 

 

8 Little Lambs!

Mrs. Wall had 8 little lambs, their fleece was white as snow. And everywhere that Mrs. Wall went, the lambs were sure to go!! They followed her to school one day, which was against the rule. It made the children laugh and play, to see the lambs at school!

2012 GRADUATES!

What a GREAT year and what a FABULOUS group of kids this year! These kids were amazing and so very smart. I am so glad that I was able to be their teacher!  CONGRATS Graduates!!

Happy Birthday Lauren & Tommy!

In May we celebrated two birthdays! Lauren and Tommy both got to be our "Star of the Day" this month! They brought in their posters and shared some yummy treats with us. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lauren and Tommy!!
