With March being Dr. Seuss's birthday and "read" month, the kids and I took a field trip to the Garden City Library and attended their story time. I am really impressed with the lady who does the story time, she is fun, happy, and has a lot of great activities for the kids. The day we went, the lady was starting a "reading readiness" program and so all the kids came home with their own special bag and a free book! The kids were super excited. After story time, there is always a project for the kids to do. Today the kids got to cut out pictures and use them as a memory game. Once the kids were done cutting out their cards, they went and looked for a book to check out to bring back to pre-school. I would recommend the Garden City Library to anyone. Story time is every Thursday from 10-11am.
