2012-2013 GRADUATION

I can't believe our preschool year has come to an end! It is AMAZING how time always seems to pass by so quickly. This has been a wonderful year and these kids are absolutely WONDERFUL!!  I love each one of them and I am so happy to have had them in my class. I am always sad to see the year end, but I am so happy to see their progress and their readiness to move on. This is my fourth graduating class and I am so proud of them!! The preschool kids did an AWESOME job at graduation; the program was a success! THANK YOU parents for all your help and support this year and thank you for sharing your child with me!!

WE'RE GOING TO THE ZOO...

In April we take our last field trip of the year, and we go to the Boise Zoo! In April we talk about all types of animals: farm animals, ocean animals, zoo animals, jungle animals, bugs and insects. Going to the zoo is a great way to end our month. The weather was perfect and the kids seemed to have a GREAT time!  THANK YOU to the moms who helped out on this field trip, I could not have done it without you!

Waiting to go inside the Zoo!

So happy to be at the zoo; look at those smiles!

EASTER EGG HUNT!

Who doesn't love to have an Easter egg hunt?!!  The preschool kids had a FUN time looking out in the backyard for plastic eggs filled with candy. Each kid got to find 10 Easter eggs to put in their Easter sacks. Before the search started, the kids were given a pair of "special" bunny glasses to help them find the hidden eggs easier. The weather was beautiful and so we stayed outside in the backyard and played for the last 10 minutes of the day!

8 LITTLE LEPRECHAUNS!

Today in preschool we celebrated St. Patrick's Day!!  We all wore our St. Patrick's Day green, sang our St. Patrick's Day songs, danced our St. Patrick's Day dance, played a St. Patrick's Day game, and ate some leprechaun food (aka Apple Jacks). Then we made
leprechaun masks for our art project. I think these are the some of the cutest little leprechauns I have ever seen. The kids took home a little black pot filled with little jewels, in hopes to try to catch a leprechaun. GOOD-LUCK kids!!

STORY TIME AT THE LIBRARY!

In March it is Dr. Seuss's birthday and so we read a lot of books and talk about rhyming words. Each year in March we take a field trip to the Garden City Library and attend their Preschool Story Time.  Ms. Joy has been doing story time at this library for a few years now and she is GREAT! She sings songs with the kids, gets them up and moving around, reads them books, and has an art project for them to do. The theme for story time today was space. I was so happy with my preschoolers during story time; they sat still, they listened, and they politely participated. After story time was over, Ms. Joy came up to me and told me how impressed she was with my kids. She applauded them for their well behavior and great manners. We love reading books in preschool and so my preschoolers have had a lot of practice sitting still and listening to stories. We love books!  Here are a few pictures I took on the field trip...enjoy!
